Springfield User's Group

Hello All-

 I was just wondering if anyone is still updating this website, I noticed the last posts about meetings were pretty old.  Thanks!

Hi Mark,

Yeah, the Springfield .NET user group is a little lacking in motivation but I think that could change with the right catalyst. As far as who is updating the site, I'm not sure; the guy who was maintaining the site, JP, got a job with Microsoft and moved to Redmond. Don is a good bet as to who is maintaining this site now.

Anyway, there should be a meeting this coming Tuesday, February 26, at 6:00 pm. I haven't heard anything about a topic for the meeting so I imagine that it will be fairly social.

Hey Jerry, thanks for the reply.  I'll try to head out to the meeting to see what it's all about.  Maybe I can play the role of the "catalyst", haha.  South-side library??  Is there a meeting room or should I just look for the largest group of dorks...

 ... oh that's not right :)

Hi Mark,

The meeting is at The Library Center at 6:00 pm. When you enter the Library center the meeting rooms are on the left side of the hallway - just check the signs next to the doors for the Dot Net User Group. Looking for a large group of geeks might not work - an astronomy group often meets at the same time as us. James Frater will be presenting VS 2008 migration. Also, it appears that people are keeping the Google Group "Springfield .NET Users Group" fairly up-to-date.

Hey Jerry-

 Thanks for the heads up on the nerd-groups.  It would have taken me at least 15 minutes to figure out I was in the wrong room.  And, by that time, I would have just stayed and pretended I belonged anyway.
